Maltese Priorities for EU Presidency

As of 1 January 2017 Malta took over EU Council Presidency and became the agenda-setter for the next six months. Together with its predecessors the Netherlands and Slovakia, Malta previously set out the Council’s programme identifying their priorities between January 2016 and June 2017: migration, the single market, security, social inclusion, Europe’s neighbourhood and maritime.
