In response to its growing demand for travel, the transport authority of Toulouse SMTC-Tisseo has undertaken a project that integrated carpooling into the city’s transportations system. The CHUMS project, funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme, was the result of a co-ordinated set of measures to raise awareness of carpooling benefits between large business parks in the Toulouse area. This initiative should contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, one of EU2020 priorities.
