Commission & Transparency International fight corruption

In January 2016 the European Commission launched the second phase of the project ‘Integrity Pacts – Civil Control Mechanism for Safeguarding EU Funds’ in cooperation with Transparency International. The aim of this joint project is to find new innovative ways of preventing corrupt practices in EU-funded projects.  For the next four years the Commission will support piloting of Integrity Pacts in projects co-financed by ESIF, primarily Cohesion Funds, in EU Member States. This initiative is part of the broader action undertaken by the Commission in tackling fraud and corruption, especially in public procurement.
