Special workshop on Territorial Development took place in Paris from 29 to 30 October 2015 and was presented by Mr Richard Harding, Socio-economic development & EU Structural Funds Expert. During this very practical workshop, Mr Harding and participants worked on the implementation of ‘Sustainable Urban Development’ (SUD) through ITIs in their countries.

Through exchange of good practices and concrete examples, participants developed a better understanding of the use of territorial instruments by

• enhancing the sustainability of integrated sustainable urban development strategies
• listing the benefits of integrated approaches and how to enhance them

Through exercises and discussions, participants drawn a concrete action plan ready to be implemented with a list of preparatory actions.
