ETCP Seminars 2016 season started with a new seminar: “Selection: Preparing calls and selecting operations” from 22 to 24 February in Paris.

For 3 days, Irish ETCP Expert Mr Colm Dunne presented selection and evaluation process with specific focus on new Guiding principles. Participants tackled the following key elements:

  • Defining the right target for the right indicators
  • Selecting the best contributions to the programme (selection criteria and process)
  • Improving on-going monitoring – Combining formal requirement and orientation towards results
  • Following new 2014-2020 guiding principle
  • Concentrating intervention on innovative and high quality results
  • Managing cost effectiveness of the operation (value for money, sound financial management) and sustainability of the operation results (quality, impact)
  • Case work and role play (appraisal, selection and monitoring)

Our main objectives is to help participants increasing their skills and qualifications.

To do so, we organised both ex-ante and ex-post tests to evaluate the level of knowledge of each participant. At the end of this seminar, each participant received a certificate of qualification.
